Multiple Districts Respond to Shooting Incident

WINNIPEG – NEWS – Early in the morning of November 26, 2023, Winnipeg Police Service officers from Downtown, West, North, and East Districts rushed to the 100 block of Langside Street after receiving reports of multiple people injured.

Fatalities and Critical Injuries

Upon arrival, officers discovered five victims with gunshot wounds. An adult male and female were declared dead at the scene. Of the three other victims rushed to the hospital in critical condition, one adult male later succumbed to his injuries. The remaining two victims, an adult male and female, are still in critical condition.

Ongoing Investigation

The Homicide Unit is actively investigating this grave incident. Victim identities are currently being confirmed, with next of kin notifications pending. Due to the severity of the situation, the Forensic Services Unit will be operating on site for an extended duration.
