Harbour Youth ServicesTHUNDER BAY – When you offer a hand up to young people, you are making a positive and long-term investment in the future of Thunder Bay and our region. On Saturday, May 12th, you will be able to do that for the price of a hamburger.

On Saturday, May 12th, in the HSBC Parking lot at 955 Alloy Drive, near the Real Canadian Superstore, you can help the Harbour Youth Services’ second annual Amazing Raising Cash for Kids Race barbecue!

That burger will help cover after school program costs here in Thunder Bay.

Experts have shared that it is those critical hours after school that if young people are engaged in positive activities make a major difference in their lives, and in the community.

Harbour Youth Service of Thunder Bay has been providing prevention-focused programs for children & youth in this community since 1971. Beginning in 2002, Harbour Youth Services after-school programming began operating from within local elementary schools under a partnership agreement with the Lakehead Public School Board.

By providing children with high quality enrichment activities, our afterschool programs improve children’s social skills, academic skills, life skills, confidence, self esteem and prepares them for making healthy choices as they navigate adolescence and head into their teen years. All of our programs are facilitated by enthusiastic, creative and dedicated Ontario certified teachers.
