Thunder Bay – NEWS – A thorough investigation conducted by the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Cyber Crime Unit has led to the arrest of Aromal Kumari, a 27-year-old Thunder Bay resident, on charges of possessing child pornography. The meticulous inquiry began on September 28, focusing on a local internet user suspected of possessing illicit materials.

Investigation Details: Upon a thorough examination, investigators determined that the files in question were consistent with child pornography. Through their rigorous investigation, they were able to identify a local suspect, Aromal Kumari, and traced back to a residential address located in the zero-to-100 block of Johnson Avenue.

Search and Seizure: On October 18, acting on the acquired evidence, a search warrant was executed at the suspected address. The search yielded several electronic devices, which upon examination, were found to contain files believed to be consistent with child pornography.

Arrest and Court Appearance: Kumari was arrested and taken into custody on Friday, October 20. Following the arrest, he made an appearance in bail court on the same day and was released with certain conditions pending a future court appearance.
