THUNDER BAY – UPDATED – It is a move that recognizes Thunder Bay’s past. The Victoria Avenue BIA are happy to unveil their new branded image as “Fort William Business District”.
“We have started to erect new banners depicting our area as a place to East, Work and Shop. We are extremely excited about our new branding. We want our downtown to be inclusive and recognizable. This will also allow us to expand in the future”.

The Victoria Ave. BIA is working with the Simpson Street BIA, Waterfront District BIA, Bay & Algoma BA and Westfort BA, to host this year’s 2012 OBIAA Conference in Thunder Bay, April 22-25. We were thrilled to announce out new image and enthusiastic to have our new banners up in time for the conference.
JP Fraser from the Lake Superior Art Gallery and the newly re-named BIA shares, there are 40 new banners depicting the theme Eat, Work and Shop are being presently installed. Fraser said, “We have expanded our area to include Associate Memberships. As part of our spring beautification program we will be putting up 50 hanging flower baskets and filling our planters with an array of beautiful flowers”.
“This is all part of the 5 downtown zone beautification program. for the Ontario Business Improvement Areas Association conference which starts Sunday evening at Fort William Historical Park. This is the first time that it has been in Northern Ontario”.
