Thunder Bay Police Seek Help in Hit and Run Incident

NNLCRIMEbeatTHUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – At approximately 7:40AM on Friday morning, a man was crossing at the intersection of Memorial Ave and Isabel St. He was struck by a vehicle turning left out of the McIntyre Center.

The 50 year old victim was struck on his left side and went up the hood and smashed through the windshield. The vehicle stopped and the driver got out and asked if the male was alright. The pedestrian stated he was and the vehicle left heading northbound on Memorial Ave. The pedestrian was quite shaken up and continued to walk to his place of employment. Police were called and the male was taken to hospital for medical treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.

The Traffic Unit are looking to identify the driver of the dark coloured mid sized car. The drive is described as a 30 year old Caucasian male approximately 5’9″ with dark hair. The driver of this incident is required to report this collision to police.
