Thunder Bay – Weather – A Freezing Rain Warning has been issued for Armstrong effective from 6:15 PM EDT on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Expect freezing rain with light accretion, which is likely to commence overnight and continue into Friday morning.

As temperatures drop below the freezing mark, rain showers will turn into freezing rain in some areas. The freezing rain may be mixed with ice pellets or snow at times but will ease off by Friday morning. Note that areas that stay above freezing will only receive rain showers.

Furthermore, freezing rain is also expected in some locations on Saturday. To stay safe, exercise caution when driving or walking in the affected areas. Slow down when driving on slippery roads, and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles. Look out for taillights ahead of you, and be mindful of the possibility of icy surfaces.

Keep in mind that a freezing rain warning is issued when rain falls in temperatures below zero, resulting in the accumulation of ice and slippery conditions.
