ATIKOKAN – On February 11, 2023, at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of the Atikokan Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a R.I.D.E checkpoint on Highway 11 in the Town of Atikokan. One driver, Jason WEBB, entered the R.I.D.E checkpoint and officers conducted an investigation.
An evening Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint has led to Jason WEBB being arrested and charged under the Criminal Code for failure to comply with a release order.
As a result of the investigation, Jason WEBB, 37-years-old, from Thunder Bay has been arrested and charged with:
- Failing to comply with a release order
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Atikokan on March 22, 2023, to answer to the charge.
