THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Welcome to the weekend.

Thunder Bay

It is +5 this morning with calm winds and clear skies. A great weekend to visit Community Spokes on Simpson Street and look at getting a bike, the price of a litre of liquid gold regular is $224.9 in the city.

Saturday’s daytime high will be 19, with the UV Index at 9 or very high.

Tonight will start with clear skies and see some clouds moving in late in the evening. The overnight low will be 8.

Fort Frances

It is 10 headed to a daytime high of 23 in Fort Frances. Saturday will see a mix of sun and clouds with a 40 per cent potential for precipitation. There will be a risk of a thunderstorm.

Winds will be southeast at 20 gusting to 40 this morning. The UV Index will be 10 or Very High.

Tonight will see cloudy skies with a 30 per cent chance of rain showers. There will be a risk of a thunderstorm early this evening. Winds will be from the southeast at 20 gusting up to 40 km/h before becoming light near midnight. The overnight low will be 17.

Dryden and Vermilion Bay

It is 11 in Dryden this morning with the winds from the southeast at 13 km/h. The high for the day will be 23. Skies will be clear early this morning, with clouds rolling in later this morning,  along with a 30 per cent chance of showers, along with the risk of a thunderstorm.

Winds will be from the southeast gusting from 20 to 40 km/h this morning. The UV Index will be 9 or very high.

This evening skies will be partly cloudy with a 30 per cent possibility of rain showers. The overnight low will be 15.

Marten Falls

It is 5 in Marten Falls this morning with winds from the north-northwest at 8 km/h. Sunny skies are in the forecast for Marten Falls for the early hours of the morning with clouds mixing in by this afternoon. The daytime high will be 21.

The UV Index will be 8 or very high.

There will be a 30 per cent possibility of rain by Sunday morning. The overnight low will be 7.
