FORT FRANCES – NEWS – On June 2nd, 2022 at approximately 9:00 pm CDT, officers with the Rainy River District Detachment of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision involving an all-terrain vehicle, (ATV) on Lavallee Road North in La Vallee Township.
Officers attended the scene with Emergency Services. A 57-year-old male was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
During the course of the investigation, the investigating officer determined that the driver had consumed alcohol.
As a result, Marvis Darrah of Chapple Township has been charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood concentration (80 plus)
Darrah will appear in Rainy River Provincial Court on the 27th of July 2022 to answer to the charges.
