THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – The forecast for the next several days is calling for rainfall.
For Wednesday, Environment Canada is calling for a 60 per cent possibility of rain in the afternoon, Thursday and Friday are also calling for rain.
As a result, The Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry – Thunder Bay District is advising area residents that a Flood Warning is in effect in the District until Monday, May 30, 2022.
Residents in the Kaministiquia River, Dog Lake, Shebandowan Lake, Kashabowie Lake and Lac des Mille Lacs watersheds should exercise extreme caution around less travelled roads, bridges, water-crossings, lakes, and rivers.
Prolonged periods of high water are expected.
