Tough times don’t last, but tough people do. This is a saying all entrepreneurs should understand while pursuing their dreams. Every successful person has had their fair share of difficulties when trying to establish themselves. Mr. Zac Sheaffer, the founder of Zamage Clothing, is an entrepreneur who had his share of struggles while trying to make a name for his brand. He is a successful entrepreneur with a clothing store and a budding online presence.
He started his company in 2004 in his small 500-square-foot shop based out of Lancaster, PA. He did not let the fact that he was a small owner entering a large market deter his resolve. He believed in always having a plan and following it, irrespective of how difficult reaching the destination is in foresight. With his grit and determination, he secured a contract from New Era Cap Co. He persistently followed up every month for a year to get his first contract to sell branded caps. Today, the store sells multiple brands such as Rocawear, Miskeen, Enyce, Akademiks, Timberland, and Converse under his store name. To keep progressing, an entrepreneur needs to keep evolving and having innovative marketing strategies. His marketing strategies included hiding a golden ticket in a pair of shoes and giving a free pair to the buyers finding it. Sometimes, companies face tough times due to macroeconomic factors, and one must try to make the best out of the situation. After the Covid quarantine and shutdown, he realized that people took a hit on their incomes, so he offered blowout sales to his customers. In times like these, one should assess the markets and create demand when there is none.
Zack Sheaffer advises that when time seems to be tough, one should keep their head down and work towards their goal. There is no alternative to hard work, but at the same time, one must also keep evolving and changing according to the market.
