Thunder Bay – WEATHER – For much of the region we are seeing above seasonable weather conditions. There is a risk of freezing drizzle for parts of the far eastern parts of Lake Superior which could impact travel.

Thunder Bay Weather

It is -4°C in Thunder Bay this morning at 07:00 am EST under mainly cloudy skies with a 30 percent chance of flurries this morning.

Winds will blow at up to 15 km/h. The high for the day will be at the freezing mark. The wind chill will feel more like -13°C this morning.

Tonight, cloudy skies will continue with a 40 percent chance of flurries before morning with risk of freezing drizzle. Fog patches are forecast to develop after midnight. Winds up to 15 km/h. Low -9°C with wind chill at -5°C this evening and -12°C overnight.

The record high for this day was 3.3°C back in 1946. Lowest temperature ever recorded was -34.5°C in 2004.

Sioux Lookout

It is -4°C in Sioux Lookout this morning at 06:00 am CST under cloudy skies, with a 30 percent chance of flurries early this morning. Fog patches should be dissipating this morning. Winds will be up to 15 km/h. The daytime high is forecast for -5°C with wind chill at -13°C this morning and -7°C this afternoon.

Tonight, the weather service is calling for mainly cloudy skies to continue with winds up to 15 km/h. The overnight low -12°C. Wind chill -18°C this evening.

Kenora and Lake of the Woods

It is -8°C in Kenora this morning under clear skies. Mainly sunny conditions are expected for the rest of the day. The fog patches will burn off this morning. Wind up to 15 km/h. High for Tuesday will be -3°C. Wind chill -15°C this morning and -5°C this afternoon.

Tonight will see increasing cloudiness with winds up to 15 km/h. Low -9°C. Wind chill -8°C this evening and -14°C overnight.
