Thunder Bay = WEATHER – The Colorado Clipper making its was east and north from the United States is expected to drop snow on the Lake Superior region.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the eastern side of Lake Superior on the Canadian side of the lake.

Snowfall with total amounts of about 15 cm is expected.

The weather service says that the eavy snowfall begins tonight and continues into Wednesday morning.

Snow is expected to move into the region overnight and persist for much of the day Wednesday. The snow may fall heavily at times, particularly overnight and Wednesday morning.

Snowfall warning in effect for:

  • Wawa – Pukaskwa Park
  • Agawa – Lake Superior Park
  • Sault Ste. Marie – St. Joseph Island
  • Searchmont – Montreal River Harbour – Batchawana Bay

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
