Thunder Bay – WEATHER – Warmer temperatures today are in the forecast. Ontario’s cold spot is Sandy Lake at -14.8 °C or 5.4 °F for our American readers. 

Thunder Bay Weather

It is -3 in Thunder Bay at 06:30 am EST. Skies are cloudy with a 30 percent chance of flurries. Winds becoming southwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 this morning then becoming northwest 20 this afternoon. Sunday’s high -1. Wind chill near -10.

Tonight will see partly cloudy skies through the evening but full clouds rolling in overnight. Winds up to 15 km/h. Low -10. Wind chill -14 this evening.

Sandy Lake Weather

There will be an end to the snow falling in Sandy Lake early this morning followed by cloudy skies with a 40 percent chance of flurries. Skies will become a mix of sun and cloud near noon. Winds will blow northwest 20 km/h gusting to 40. Temperature steady near -18. Wind chill near -29. There is a risk of frostbite for exposed skin.

Tonight will see partly cloudy skies with winds west 20 km/h becoming light early this evening. Low -24. Wind chill -22 this evening and -32 overnight. There is a risk of frostbite for exposed skin.

Dryden Weather

It is currently -4 in Dryden at 05:30 am CST. The weather service is calling for periods of light snow ending this morning then a mix of sun and cloud. Winds from the southwest 20 km/h becoming northwest 20 gusting to 40 this morning then light this afternoon. The temperature will fall to -10 this morning then steady. Wind chill -18 this morning and -13 this afternoon.

Tonight will see mainly cloudy skies with a 60 percent chance of flurries overnight. Winds up to 15 km/h. Temperature steady near -10. Wind chill near -16.
