Toronto and Peel Region Restrictions to Continue

COVID-19 Update

TORONTO – COVID-19 Update – Ontario will extend existing COVID-19 restrictions for both the Toronto and Peel regions. Ontario Premier Doug Ford reports that the restrictions in the two COVID-19  hot spots be extended. Ford says that the provincial government will announce more on the new measures Monday afternoon.

Today, Ontario reports 2,290 new cases of the COVID-19 virus, and 40 more deaths.

Ford states that he will have more to say after the Ontario government holds an emergency meeting on the virus and growing number of COVID-19 cases this weekend.

Ontario is considering new measures according to the Premier, but at this time Ford is not offering many details about any changes coming.
