Thunder Bay – “We would like to thank the community for their support over the last 25 years, and we hope to return with this annual event in 2021,” said Ken Koza, Amalgamated Transit Union 966 President. “We wish everyone a safe and healthy holiday season and a happy new year.”

The Annual ATU Local 966 and City of Thunder Bay Santa Bus food drive has been cancelled this year due to COVID restrictions.

He added that residents should instead consider donating directly to the Thunder Bay Food Bank if they are able.

Santa Bus, in aid of the Thunder Bay Food Bank, is an opportunity for Transit employees to join the public to bring joy and happiness to others this holiday season.

The Thunder Bay Food Bank has been providing food and supplies to people in need for more than 25 years and now have more than 1,400 clients every month. The need is always greater in the winter and especially over the holidays.

The Amalgamated Transit Union Local 966 and Transit Services has served the community of Thunder Bay with safe, reliable, economical, and enviro-friendly Transit services for more than 125 years.
