Attawapiskat Under Lockdown

ATTAWAPISKAT – Earlier today there were shots fired at the Northern Store as a masked gunman entered the store in Attawapiskat this morning. As a result, NAPS is asking that people in Attawapiskat remain in their homes, and do not go outside.

This is a developing situation.

Background

This apparently happened as the store was opening for business. The door was unlocked as employees came in.

There were five employees in the store at the time of the incident.

There were no injuries.

Nishnawbe-Aski Police are now actively seeking the suspect.

The masked gunman remains at large.
