Thunder Bay Police Issue Public Safety Alert on Suicides

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service has issued a public safety alert in relation to a spike in mental health-related calls for service. In a statement to Media, the TPBS  say the service has responded to an increase in apparent and attempted suicides in the last month.

As is a common policy, TBPS says, “Due to the sensitive nature of these incidents, the police service will not speak to case details.”

TBPS says, “Please consider reaching out to any loved ones, friends, or family members who may be struggling with mental health, addiction, or other related issues. If you are struggling please reach out to friends, family, or support agencies, like the Canadian Mental Health Association, for help.
