ABRAMOVICH Under Court Order to Stay Out of Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY – Alexander Aaron ABRAMOVICH was arrested today by Thunder Bay Police. The Richmond Hill man was in violation of a court order NOT to be in Thunder Bay.

Police made the arrest at the Midtown Inn on Cumberland Street North on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at about 5:30 PM.

The arrest came during the execution of search warrants at a number of hotel rooms at the Midtown Inn. Police observed Alexander Aaron ABRAMOVICH, who was known to police as a part of his release conditions not to be in Thunder Bay.

ABRAMOVICH attempted to elude police but was pursued and taken into custody after what police called a brief struggle.

Following the arrest, police found ABRAMOVICH to be in possession of a concealed knife.

ABRAMOVICH is an eighteen-year-old male of Richmond Hill, is charged with Resisting Peace Officer, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Failure to Comply with Undertaking.

The Midtown Inn in Thunder Bay has been the scene of repeated drug dealing and overdoses. Thunder Bay Police in dealing with this clear and present danger to people in Thunder Bay often face difficulties in gaining co-operation from potential witnesses.
