Twenty-Five Year Old Man Faces Charges

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service has made an arrest in connection to an ongoing investigation involving the uploading of child pornography.

TBPS report that members of the service’s Cyber Crimes Unit began an investigation in September 2019, after receiving information that a local Internet user was suspected of having uploaded images of child pornography.

As a result of an ongoing investigation, a suspect was identified and police determined that images uploaded were consistent with child pornography.

On Feb. 19, 2020, police executed a search warrant at a home in the 300 block of Grenville Avenue. During the search, police seized an electronic device, which was found to contain images consistent with child pornography.

A male suspect was arrested at the scene without incident.

Brandon Joey Valentino DESMOULIN, 25, now faces charges of Possession of Child Pornography.

He appeared in bail court on Thursday, Feb. 20 and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date. None of the charges have been proven in court.
