THUNDER BAY – At the Thunder Bay Courthouse today, the verdict in the trial of former Mayor Keith Hobbs, his wife Marisa Hobbs, and Mary Voss was brought down.
Justice Dawson Fletcher found that the actual threat itself is not there, as written in the indictment.
Justice Fletcher stated that the crown was, “Trying to pound a square peg into a round hole”.
The trial held in November came after the Hobbs and Mary Voss was charged with extortion after charges of obstruction of justice were dropped by the crown.
