Wet Weather Does Not Impact Nipigon Open Market

Despite an overcast and rainy day, the first Nipigon open air market held on Saturday June 5th was a resounding success.  With numerous venders and a great involvement from the public, organiser Wendy Turner was excited with the response. “To see such a positive response, especially in the rain was very encouraging” commented Turner. “This is a clear indication that we are on to something with a great future.” There are already a number of new exhibitors who plan to be out next Saturday an interest is clearly growing..

The open Air Market will take place each Saturday throughout the summer at the Nipigon Town hall court yard, adjacent to the Paddle to the Sea park. With the theme Hand Made-Home Grown the market highlights the many artists and crafters foun around the North Shore of Lake Superior.

The Market will be open from 10 am to 2 pm each Saturday in the court yard surrounding the Nipigon

Town Hall on Front Street. Anyone who is interested in exhibiting or looking for more information
