THUNDER BAY – SPORTS – The Lakehead Thunderwolves came back from behind to defeat the Ryerson Rams 3-2 Saturday night in Toronto, ON.

After giving up a power-play goal in the first period and another one in the second, the Thunderwolves scored three straight to split the two-game weekend series with Ryerson and finish the weekend collecting three of six potential points.

Brett Wolframe, assisted by Brendan Martin, scored his second goal of the season to kick start the Thunderwolves comeback.

Less than three minutes later, freshman defenceman Kyle Auger scored his fourth goal of the year, tying the game and setting the Thunderwolves up to take the lead.

Assisted by Auger and senior defenceman Patrick Murphy, Thunderwolves forward Scott Gall scored what would end up being the game-winning goal just halfway through the second period.

Lakehead netminder Nic Renyard shut the doors in the third period to help the Thunderwolves close out the three-game road trip with a win. Renyard faced 27 total shots, making 25 saves.

The Thunderwolves will be back at home next weekend to host the Laurier Golden Hawks for two back-to-back games. The first of the two games will be the Thunderwolves Annual Teddy Bear Toss on Friday, Nov. 22.
