Breaking News – Fire Engulfs Home on 1200 Block of Arthur Street

THUNDER BAY – BREAKING NEWS – Reports of an incident on Arthur Street have been coming in from News-hawks. Here are the facts as we have been able to uncover so far:

Thunder Bay Police Service officers received reports of a house fire in the 1200 block of Arthur Street at about 3:15 PM on Friday, September 27, 2019.

Shortly after police officers arrived they observed a male on the roof of the home. The house was fully engulfed at this point. Moments later the male was able to get onto the garage, which was detached from the burning home, and eventually made it to safety.

Firefighters continue to work toward extinguishing the blaze. People traveling in this area are asked to be cautious as there may still be a significant presence of first responders.

The male has been transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for further medical assessment.

Firefighters were able to rescue a cat, bird, and rabbit from the home.
