THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Another drug seizure and arrest in Thunder Bay. Police say that officers with the Uniform Patrol Branch were dispatched to Cumming Street residence following reports of a disturbance just before 5 am on Friday, September 6, 2019.

Officers arrived and continued to investigate the disturbance report inside the home.

During their investigation, police officers saw a quantity of drugs – pills and a substance believed to be crack cocaine. Officers also saw paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

Meanwhile, officers also observed other occupants of the residence tending to an overflowing toilet. Police had heard sounds of a toilet flushing multiple times as they were being invited into the residence.

As a result of their investigation, six people were arrested and charged for possession for the purpose of trafficking. During the arrests, two of the accused were found to be in possession of about $12,000 CAD.

• Nikita Elvira CHICKEKOO, 22, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.
• Melbert Alberto HALL, 22, of Innisville, Ont., is charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.
• Melissa Delia MCKAY, 45, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.
• Tabatha PAPASSAY, 27, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.
• Negus Tafari PERRY, 21, of Toronto, is charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.
• Reheem RANGER-HALL, 20, of Toronto, is charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.

All six appeared in bail court Saturday, Sept. 7 and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates.
