KENORA – Warning Ended – There is a thunderstorm warning out for Dryden, Fort Frances, Rainy River, Nestor Falls, Caliper Lake Provincial Park, Emo, Sandpoint Island Provincial Park and Aaron Provincial Park.
Environment Canada says that at 3:44 p.m. CDT, meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, nickel to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain.
A broken line of thunderstorms over Northwestern Ontario is tracking east at 30 km/h.
Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
