Geraldton Robbery Results in Three Suspects Arrested

GERALDTON – On July 12. 2019 at approximately 5:30 am members of the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a robbery that occurred at a residence on First Street in the City of Geraldton.

Officers were able to apprehend and arrest three suspects.

Delaney BAXTER (25 years) of Marten Falls First Nation, ON has been arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Robbery with a Weapon, s. 344(1) (b)
  • Theft Under $5000, s. 334(b)
  • Break & Enter – Commit Indictable Offence s. 348(1) (b)
  • Assault with a Weapon X 3, s. 267(a)
  • Aggravated Assault, s. 268
  • Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm, s. 264.1(1) (a)
  • Fail to Comply with Undertaking, s. 268
  • Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge, s.145(5.1)

Kalvin GODIN (27 years) of Greenstone, ON has been arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Robbery with a Weapon, s. 344(1) (b)
  • Theft Under $5000, s. 334(b)
  • Break & Enter – Commit Indictable Offence, s.358(1) (b)
  • Assault with a Weapon X 3, s. 267(a)
  • Aggravated Assault, s 268
  • Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm, s.264.1(1) (a)

Brynn SHAWAYAHAMAISH (20 years) of Greenstone, ON has been arrested an charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Robbery with a Weapon, s. 344(1) (b)
  • Theft Under $5000, s. 334(b)
  • Break & Enter – Commit Indictable Offence, s.358(1) (b)
  • Assault with a Weapon X 3, s. 267(a)
  • Aggravated Assault, s 268
  • Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm, s.264.1(1) (a)
  • Domestic Mischief, s 430(4)

All three accused appeared in court and are currently being held in custody.
