KENORA – WEATHER – Environment Canada is predicting a wet one for today.
The weather service says there will be rain ending this afternoon then cloudy skies. There is a risk of a thunderstorm this morning. Total rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm are forecast. Winds will become north 20 km/h gusting to 40 near noon. Wednesday’s high will be 21. The Humidex will make that feel like 27. The UV index 2 or low.
For tonight expect clearing skies late in the evening, with winds north 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming light this evening.

Heavy rain continues today.
A large area of rain continues to soak the region today. Total rainfall amounts from this event of 50 to 75 mm are expected in many areas. A few locally higher rainfall amounts of 75 to 100 mm are possible in areas that receive a thunderstorm or two.
Rain is expected to move out of the region this evening as a low pressure system will move from Northwestern Ontario to the James Bay region by this evening.
