Citizen Self Reporting (CSR): Use Online Tools for Minor Crimes
The OPP continues to encourage the use of its online reporting system for non-emergency, minor incidents. Known as Citizen Self Reporting (CSR), the platform has been in place since 2014 and helps reduce the need for officer dispatch when it’s not necessary.
CSR is ideal for reporting:
-
Theft under $5,000
-
Mischief/damage to property or vehicles under $5,000
-
Lost or missing property
-
Theft from vehicles
-
Stolen license plates
-
Driving complaints
To submit a report, visit opp.ca and use the CSR tool — available from your phone, tablet, or desktop.
