“I am honored to be part of the Carney Team and to be chosen as the candidate for Kenora—Kiiwetinoong,” Fox stated. “I am dedicated to making sure every voice in our vast riding, which spans over 256,000 square kilometers from Lake of the Woods to Hudson Bay, is heard in Ottawa.”

As a residential school survivor and an enthusiastic hunter, fisherman, and trapper, Fox brings personal insight into his advocacy work. Since 2012, he and his partner, Meladina Hardy-Fox, have operated Penasi, a group home for First Nation boys aged 8 to 12, where they provide traditional skills, knowledge, and therapeutic services through land-based programs.

Fox also developed a significant Energy Efficiency and Conservation Measures Program for Aboriginal Communities, delivering 25 thousand energy conservation kits to First Nation homes in Ontario and developed an energy focused curriculum.

Kenora—Kiiwetinoong Federal Liberal Riding Association President Mark Mymko observed, “Fox will use his experience in establishing partnerships between the Indigenous and business communities to jointly address common issues that are impacting the economic, social and health of every community.  There is a real need for someone with Charles Fox’s knowledge to tackle local priorities such as housing, infrastructure improvements, climate action and build a strong, sustainable economy.”
