THUNDER BAY – LOCAL NEWS: A 51-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges after colliding with a city grader in Thunder Bay’s north side early Saturday morning.
Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) officers with the Primary Response Branch were dispatched to the intersection of Hudson Avenue and Shuniah Street shortly after 2:30 a.m. on March 29, following reports of a motor vehicle collision.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a vehicle had driven into the rear of a city-operated grader. Police spoke with the driver and observed visible signs of impairment. The individual was arrested at the scene and taken into custody for further testing.
Following the investigation, the 51-year-old male was charged with:

Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
