SAULT STE. MARIE – NEWS: The Ontario Provincial Police’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is requesting the public’s help in locating Nicholas Pears, a federal offender who is currently unlawfully at large following a breach of his Statutory Release conditions.

A Canada-Wide Warrant has been issued for Pears, who is known to frequent the Sault Ste. Marie area.

Offender Description:

  • Name: Nicholas PEARS

  • Age: 57

  • Height: 5’9” (175 cm)

  • Weight: 180 lbs (82 kg)

  • Hair: Brown

  • Eyes: Brown

  • Tattoos:

    • Skull and dragon on right upper arm

    • Reaper and clown face on left arm

    • Devil on shoulder

    • Barbed wire on right wrist

Pears is currently serving a sentence of six years and five months for the following offences:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking

  • Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition

  • Possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order

  • Failure to comply with conditions of an undertaking
