LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The intense 2025 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) World Championship race reached a new level of ferocity Saturday night in Louisville, Kentucky, as world No. 2 Dalton Kasel (Muleshoe, Texas) went a perfect 3-for-3 to win his second consecutive and PBR-best third Unleash The Beast event of 2025, victorious at Kubota PBR Louisville.

Kasel, who has conquered his last six bulls, is now a mere 88 points behind world No. 1 Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia), who holds the top spot in the gold buckle battle.

“I thank the lord for giving me this opportunity and this talent,” Kasel said from the dirt inside KFC Yum! Center. “I just believe everything’s going to work out. He has a plan. It’s been fun that He has it like this.”

While Kasel, who just one day prior signed a four-year extension with the 2024 Champion Austin Gamblers in the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Teams league, claimed the victory, he was unable to catch world No. 1 Fielder, who delivered a flawless 3-for-3 performance of his own to finish second, and extend his ride streak to 12 outs.

Kasel, fresh off his second elite tour win of the season last weekend in North Little Rock, Arkansas, made his way to the Bluegrass State trailing No. 1 Fielder by 149 points.

Continuing to ride red-hot, Kasel won his PBR-best ninth round win of the season Friday night in Louisville, conquering El Chapo (Lucky Blue Crab/Gene Owen) for 89.5 points.

In Round 2, Kasel repeated his fortunes, remaining atop the event leaderboard as he delivered the top score of the second round, marked 89 points atop Bangarang (Blake Sharp/Henry Wilson).

With the first pick in the championship round bull draft, Kasel architected a showdown with UTZ BesTex Smokestack (Blake Sharp/Chris Utz/Carey Brothers), a bull he had ridden three times prior in their four showdowns on record.

In a decision which proved dividends, Kasel rode the bull for a monstrous, and event-best 90.25 points, proving enough to clinch the victory. It was the 38th 90-point ride for Kasel, the 2019 PBR Rookie of the Year. He concluded Louisville with a PBR-best 11 round wins thus far in 2025.

In addition to a check for $54,141.67, Kasel earned a crucial 160 Unleash The Beast points as he inched within 88 points of No. Fielder.

Texas Rattler Fielder was hot on Kasel’s spurs, earning 99 Unleash The Beast points for his second-place finish as he attempts to become just the second Australian PBR World Champion in history.

Fielder rode Bull Light (Chestnut Dreams/Davis Rodeo Ranch) for 84.25 points in Round 1 and Short Fire (Braun/Bucking M/BS Cattle) for 88.25 points in Round 2 to punch his ticket to the championship round third on the event leaderboard.

While Fielder initially selected Nobody (Snyder Family/Gene Owen Bucking Bulls), the bull fouled himself during their trip, and the Australian was awarded a re-ride after he challenged the initial call of a buckoff in arena.

Fielder then squared off against Mike’s Motive (Blake Sharp/High Voltage/Wetzel/Knott), a bovine athlete he had covered in each of their three prior meetings. Extending his ride streak to four atop Mike’s Motive, Fielder was marked an event-best 90.25 points to earn the silver finish.

The Missouri Thunder’s Paulo Eduardo Rossetto (Colorado, Brazil) and Nashville Stampede’s Anderson de Oliveira (Novo Mundo, Brazil) tied for third, each delivering three qualified rides in as many attempts.

Rossetto earned 64.5 Unleash The Beast points for his 85-point score on Prince Charming (Viducic/Julian Cattle) in Round 1, 86-point effort aboard Bandito Bug (Blake Sharp/Utz/Carey/Chaney) in Round 2 and 89.5-point trip atop Eyes On Me (Blake Sharp/Hanks) in the championship round.

The reserved Brazilian climbed from No. 14 to No. 12 in the standings, now 487.75 points behind No. 1 Fielder.

Oliveira covered Down to Fly (Flying S/Dozier Cattle Co.) for 84.25 points in Round 1, Snap Chatter (Flying S Bucking Bulls/Dozier) for 87.25 points in Round 2 and Always Been Crazy (Jane Clark/Gene Owen) for 89 points in the championship round, netting 66.5 Unleash The Beast points.

He surged from No. 18 to No. 14 in the World Championship race, propelled within 505.67 points of No. 1 Fielder.

Rounding out the Top 5 in fifth, and the final rider to go a perfect 3-for-3, was the Oklahoma Wildcatters’ Cort McFadden (Novice, Texas).

After riding Noslaw Extrasauce (Flying S Bucking Bulls) for 85.25 points in Round 1 and Sonny B (Jane Clark/Gene Owen) for 84.75 points in Round 2, McFadden punctuated his time in Kentucky with a mammoth 90-point ride atop Preachers Kid (K-C Bucking Bulls/RD Cattle) in the championship round.

Returning home with 55 Unleash The Beast points, McFadden rose from No. 13 to No. 10 in the standings. He now trails the top spot by 478.42 points.

In the bull pen, reigning YETI PBR World Champion Bull Man Hater (Jane Clark/Gene Owen) bucked supreme, earning his unrivaled 11th YETI “Built for the Wild” Bull of the Event title. Bucking in the championship round, Man Hater was awarded a commanding 47-point score for his 3.88 seconds of work against the Oklahoma Wildcatters’ Clay Guiton (Cherryville, North Carolina).

Also in the bull pen, Magic Potion (K-C Bucking Bulls/Daniels Cattle Co.) inched within one out of tying Cool Whip (Julian/Staci Addison/D&H/Crooked W) for the all-time buckoff streak of 48 outs. Magic Potion logged his 47th consecutive buckoff in premier level PBR competition Saturday night when he bucked off the Nashville Stampede’s Alan de Souza (Taubate, Brazil) in 6.2 seconds in the championship round.
