Winnipeg Police Seize Over $25,000 in Cocaine in Drug Trafficking Arrest

31-Year-Old Suspect Arrested in Varsity View Investigation

WINNIPEG – Winnipeg Police have seized over 253 grams of cocaine, valued at approximately $25,300, following a drug trafficking investigation in the Varsity View neighbourhood.

In March 2025, the West District Community Support Unit received intelligence regarding a male suspect involved in drug trafficking. On March 12, 2025, with support from the Tactical Support Team (TST), officers executed a search warrant at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Hendon Avenue, where a 31-year-old male was taken into custody without incident.

Items Seized in the Investigation

🔹 207 grams of cocaine (Estimated Street Value: $20,700)
🔹 46 grams of cocaine found on the suspect (Estimated Value: $4,600)
🔹 Drug packaging materials
🔹 Contaminated scales
🔹 Cell phone

The suspect has been charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine. He was released on an Undertaking, as mandated by the Criminal Code.
