61-Year-Old Facing Multiple Charges After Search Warrant Execution

OPP seize cocaine, opioids, and cash in Manitouwadge raid. A 61-year-old faces drug trafficking charges

MANITOUWADGE, ON – A Manitouwadge resident is facing multiple drug and weapons-related charges following a police raid that uncovered cocaine, opioids, and a prohibited weapon.

On March 12, 2025, officers from the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Emergency Response Team (ERT), K9 Unit, and members of the Manitouwadge and Marathon OPP detachments executed a search warrant at a residence on Partridge Avenue in Manitouwadge.

Seized Items Include Cocaine, Opioids, and Cash

The investigation resulted in the confiscation of:

  • 100g of cocaine (estimated street value: $10,000)
  • 76 Dilaudid pills (estimated street value: $2,500)
  • A switchblade (prohibited weapon)
  • Over $4,000 in cash
  • Other drug trafficking-related items

Charges Laid

Steven Ferguson, 61, of Manitouwadge, has been charged under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid
Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
Failure to comply with prohibition order

Court Date Set

Ferguson was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Manitouwadge on May 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
