Authorities Request Public Assistance in Locating Wanted Individual
Winnipeg homicide case leads to Thunder Bay arrest; police seek 22-year-old suspect with Ontario ties
THUNDER BAY – NEWS – The investigation into the July 13, 2024, homicide of Mohamed Yusuf ABDULLAHI in Winnipeg continues, with two arrests made and a third suspect still at large.
The Winnipeg Police Service’s Homicide Unit has identified three individuals believed to be involved in the incident.
- On January 20, 2025, investigators arrested 26-year-old Ibrahim BANGURA in Winnipeg.
- On February 5, 2025, authorities attended the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre, where they arrested 27-year-old Norbert KIPALA, who was already in custody on an unrelated matter.
Both men remain in custody on First Degree Murder charges.
Suspect Still at Large – Public Assistance Requested
Police are now searching for 22-year-old Tresor HORIMBERE, who remains outstanding and is wanted for First Degree Murder. Authorities believe HORIMBERE may be in Ontario, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
HORIMBERE is described as:
- Black male
- Approximately 5’8” with a slim build
- Weighing around 120 lbs
