Officers Respond to Early Morning Call, Suspect in Custody

Thunder Bay Police arrested a 41-year-old man on Lincoln Street following a weapons-related assault

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – A 41-year-old man has been arrested following a weapons-related assault in the city’s east end.

Thunder Bay Police Service Primary Response officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Lincoln Street just before 6:30 a.m. on Monday, February 10, after receiving reports of a suspect armed with a firearm.

Upon arrival, officers determined that the suspect had used the weapon to assault a victim. The individual was swiftly located and taken into custody without further incident.

Charles HARDY, 41, has been charged with:

  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Breach of Probation (x2)

The accused has appeared in court and remains in custody pending a future court date.

Authorities have not disclosed additional details regarding the victim’s condition.
