Kenora Resident Charged with Drug Trafficking

KENORA, ON – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Kenora have arrested a 19-year-old resident following a drug trafficking investigation that resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine and cash.

On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Kenora OPP responded to a call for assistance in the Rupert Road area. Officers attended the scene, arrested an individual, and seized approximately 13 grams of suspected cocaine along with $540 in cash.

Charges Laid

As a result of the investigation, Payton ROY, 19, of Kenora, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on February 25, 2025.
