Two victims injured in October attack involving an edged weapon; Thunder Bay Police request public help
Thunder Bay, ON – Police are continuing to investigate an October 27, 2024, assault that left two people injured and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
Details of the Incident
Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Court Street South shortly after 3 a.m. following reports of an assault.
A male and female were walking in the area of the 200 block of Bay Street when they were attacked by a male suspect wielding an edged weapon. Both victims sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment. Their injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
Suspect Description
The suspect is described as:
- Male of Indigenous descent
- Aged 25 to 40 years
- Approximately 6’0” tall, with a medium build
- Distinctive upper canine teeth that point up and out
- Wearing a grey or dark hoodie and carrying a red or burgundy backpack
