THUNDER BAY – As Giving Tuesday continues, the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation has crossed the half way mark and is just $21,823.00 away from reaching its $44,000 goal to fund vital equipment, including a ventilator and defibrillator, to complete a second Paediatric Transfer Deck for the Paediatric Emergency Transport Team.
With almost half a day remaining, every donation brings us one step closer to providing life-saving care for children in urgent need. Your support today will have an immediate impact, and with donations accepted until midnight tonight, every gift will be matched by the Sandra Schmirler Foundation.
“We’re truly inspired by the generosity of our community this Giving Tuesday,” says Dr. Rhonda Crocker Ellacott, President and CEO of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and CEO of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Research Institute. “But there’s still time to help us meet our goal. We encourage everyone to keep giving today so we can complete our second Paediatric Transfer Deck, which will include access to ventilators and defibrillators — vitals tools that our health care staff can use to address the needs of our smallest patients and provide the best possible care.”
