MISHKEEGOGAMANG – CRIME – Three individuals, including a Winnipeg man, are facing drug trafficking charges following a weekend raid on a residence in Mishkeegogamang First Nation.
On Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, a search warrant was executed at a home on James Road. The operation involved a multi-agency team including members of the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service (NAPS) Intelligence Unit, NAPS Emergency Response Team, officers from the Mishkeegogamang First Nation detachment, OPP Indigenous Issues Unit, OPP Sioux Lookout Community Street Crime Unit, and OPP Intelligence Unit.
Upon entering the residence, police located and arrested three suspects without incident. A search of the home led to the seizure of suspected cocaine, cash, and drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
Charges Laid
The following individuals have been charged:

Bradley Lewis HALE, 28, of Winnipeg:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking: This charge, under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, relates to possessing cocaine with the intent to sell or distribute it.
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000: This charge, under the Criminal Code of Canada, alleges that the accused possessed money obtained through criminal activity.

28-year-old male from Mishkeegogamang First Nation: Facing the same charges as HALE.

47-year-old female from Mishkeegogamang First Nation: Facing the same charges as HALE.
Court Appearances
HALE appeared for a bail hearing on Sunday, November 24th, and was remanded into custody pending a future court appearance.
The other two suspects were released from custody with conditions and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date. Their names are being withheld pending the formal swearing of charges before the courts.
