Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Memorial Avenue Collision

Thunder Bay, ON – A serious collision involving a pedestrian has closed a section of Memorial Avenue in Thunder Bay.

Emergency services rushed to the scene on Memorial Avenue shortly after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19th, where a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. The injured pedestrian was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The Thunder Bay Police Service Traffic Unit and Forensic Identification Unit are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, Memorial Avenue is closed between John Street and Central Avenue. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect significant traffic disruptions.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any information that could assist in the investigation to contact them.
