Thunder Bay, ON – KFC Canada is set to undergo major growth and innovation under the leadership of its new President and General Manager, Ryan Koon. Koon, who brings over 12 years of experience from KFC’s global operations, is poised to drive the brand’s ambitious expansion across Canada.

Koon’s expertise spans financial planning and strategic development, with a history of success in leading KFC U.S. restaurant design initiatives and overseeing rapid growth in KFC South Pacific. These experiences will be critical as KFC Canada refreshes its 642 existing restaurants and boosts its presence in key urban markets.

“Ryan’s leadership and deep experience within KFC and Yum! International make him the perfect fit for the Canadian market,” said Katherine Bond-Debicki, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Digital Officer at KFC Canada. “His strategic approach and collaborative style will inspire our teams to achieve new milestones.”

Koon’s plan for KFC Canada includes improving the customer experience and leveraging technology to strengthen the brand. His track record in leading KFC South Pacific’s shift to a 100% digital strategy highlights his ability to drive both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

“Canada is a dynamic market with incredible growth opportunities,” Koon stated. “I’m excited to lead this talented team and take KFC to new heights.”

With a particular focus on Quebec, KFC Canada is planning to revitalize current locations and open 100 new restaurants, signaling a significant step forward in their national growth.
