Thunder Bay, ON – Five individuals were apprehended following a drug trafficking investigation that culminated in a search warrant being executed at a residence on Picton Avenue. The operation, conducted on the evening of October 17th, involved the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Intelligence Unit, Emergency Task Unit, and the Ontario Provincial Police’s Organized Crime Enforcement Unit.
One suspect attempted to evade arrest by fleeing through a window but was apprehended after a short pursuit. Four other suspects were found inside the residence and taken into custody.
During the search, officers seized suspected crack cocaine, fentanyl, and hydromorphone, along with a significant amount of cash and paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking.

Avery COLLYMORE-WALTERS, 19, of Scarborough:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine, Fentanyl, Hydromorphone): This offense, under Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000: This charge, under Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code, carries a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment.
- Resisting Arrest: This charge, under Section 129(a) of the Criminal Code, carries a maximum penalty of 2 years imprisonment.

Court Appearance:
All accused appeared in court on Friday, October 18th, and were remanded into custody pending future court dates.
