Outdoor Burning: Follow Ontario’s Regulations

As fall sets in, Aviation, Forest Fire, and Emergency Services remind residents to practice caution with outdoor burning. Whenever possible, use alternatives like composting or landfill disposal for yard waste and debris. If burning is necessary, follow Ontario’s regulations closely:

  • Fires should be started no earlier than two hours before sunset and extinguished within two hours after sunrise.
  • Keep necessary tools and water at hand to contain the fire.

For full details, review Ontario’s Outdoor Burning Regulations and get tips on safe burning practices.
