Fort Frances OPP Arrest Three for Drug Trafficking

FORT FRANCES, ON – Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested three individuals on drug trafficking charges following an investigation by Frontline Patrol Officers of the Fort Frances OPP.

On September 24, 2024, around 4:00 pm, officers were dispatched to a local hotel where they launched an investigation, resulting in the arrests of:

  • Ronald Deschenes, 48, from Thunder Bay, charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.
  • Micaela Gravelle, 27, from Thunder Bay, charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Matthew Reimer, 34, from Thunder Bay, charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Two of the accused were remanded in custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances on September 27, 2024. The third individual has been released with a court date set for November 4, 2024.
