SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Sioux Lookout Detachment is leading an investigation into a sudden death near the town beach. The investigation is being conducted with the support of the Sioux Lookout Crime Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team, Regional Investigative Support Team, Provincial Liaison Team, and Marine Unit.
At approximately 7:00 a.m. on August 29, 2024, officers responded to a report of an individual in the water near Lakeshore Drive. The victim has been identified as Cameron Vincent, 18, of Hudson. Tragically, Vincent was confirmed deceased at the scene.
While police continue to investigate the circumstances of the death, there is no threat to public safety. Authorities are encouraging anyone with information or video footage to come forward.
