Thunder Bay – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police have arrested Amanda Eaves, 41, in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at a John Street Road business on Friday, September 13. Eaves allegedly entered the store at 10 p.m., brandished a firearm, and demanded cash from the register. After fleeing the scene, she was located and arrested on September 17 following an investigation by the Break and Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit.
Eaves faces charges under the Criminal Code of Canada, including:
- Robbery with a Firearm (Sec. 344): A conviction could result in a sentence of up to life imprisonment.
- Disguise with Intent (Sec. 351): This charge carries a maximum penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
- Pointing a Firearm (Sec. 87): This offense can lead to a sentence of up to 14 years.
The accused remains in custody and is awaiting her next court appearance.
