Scorching Start to the Week

Regina is kicking off the week with some serious heat. Today, September 2nd, expect the temperature to climb to a toasty 30°C, with a humidex making it feel closer to 32°C. Winds will be coming in from the southeast at 20 km/h, gusting up to 40 km/h, adding a bit of breeze to the otherwise hot day. The night will cool down to a comfortable 13°C under clear skies.

Tuesday will be even hotter, with temperatures soaring to 33°C. The heat will be followed by a significant change on Wednesday, as a mix of sun and cloud will dominate the skies with a 60% chance of showers. The high will drop dramatically to 22°C, and the night could be chilly with temperatures falling to 7°C.

Cooling Down into the Weekend

By Thursday, the skies will start to clear, bringing cooler weather with a high of 19°C. This trend continues into Friday and Saturday, where sunny skies will prevail and highs will hover around 20°C and 24°C, respectively. Nights will be noticeably cooler, dipping as low as 4°C on Thursday night.

Air Quality and Health

The air quality in Regina is currently rated as low risk, making it safe for all activities outside. Still, with the shifting weather and possible showers midweek, it’s always good to stay updated.

Wardrobe Tip: Light and breathable clothing will be your best friend through Tuesday, but keep a jacket handy for the cool down starting Wednesday night.

Weather Trivia: Regina’s record high for September was a sizzling 38°C set in 1983. Luckily, this week, while warm, won’t reach those extremes!
