ATIKOKAN, ON – A drug trafficking investigation in Atikokan led to the arrest of a local man, and the seizure of approximately 115 grams of cocaine on August 30, 2024.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Atikokan, with assistance from the Rainy River District OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and the Northwest Region Canine Unit, intercepted a vehicle traveling from Thunder Bay to Atikokan at around 2:30 p.m.
During the investigation, officers arrested the driver and conducted a search of the vehicle, uncovering an estimated 115 grams (4 ounces) of suspected Schedule I cocaine with a street value of approximately $11,500.
OPP Officers also seized the vehicle and a cell phone as offence-related property.
Gregory Kozlowski, 30, of Atikokan, has been charged with one count of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking. He remains in custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing on August 31, 2024.
